Professional Program
Structured, project based industrial training for B.Tech, BCA, MCA, diploma and polytechnic students who need practical exposure as part of their academic program or want to strengthen their skills beyond the syllabus.
Industrial training at AIIT Roorkee is a mentored program in which students choose a technology track, learn the required skills, build a working project and prepare project documentation and a presentation. Tracks include AI, data science, full stack development, cloud, cybersecurity and IoT.
Many universities and technical boards ask students to complete industrial or practical training. The most useful training is the kind where you actually build something and understand how the work is done, rather than only attending lectures.
At AIIT Roorkee, industrial training combines focused skill sessions with a mentored project. You follow a realistic workflow of requirement understanding, design, development, testing, documentation and presentation, which prepares you for internships, final year projects and technical interviews.
Choose a technology track that fits your branch, interests and academic requirements.
Daily practical sessions where concepts are applied immediately in code or configuration.
Build a working project with guidance on design decisions, debugging and quality.
Learn to write a clear project report with objectives, design, implementation and results.
Present and defend your project, the way you will in academic evaluations and interviews.
Work with Git, version control and development tools used in real teams.
How it works
Discuss your branch, semester, interests and any institutional requirements with our team.
Choose a technology track such as AI, data, web, cloud, security or IoT.
Learn the core concepts and tools needed for your project through practical sessions.
Design and develop your project with regular mentor reviews.

Technology areas
Tracks and projects are matched to your level and goals. Other areas can be discussed with the team.
Learn Python from first principles to files, OOP, APIs and data libraries, the language of choice for automation, data science and AI.
Build complete web applications, front end to database, with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, React, Node.js, Express, databases, Git and deployment.
Learn the complete data science workflow: Python, statistics, data wrangling, visualisation, machine learning models, evaluation and communication.
Understand and build machine learning models: regression, classification, trees, ensembles, clustering, tuning, pipelines and model deployment basics.
Understand and apply generative AI: how LLMs and image models work, prompting, retrieval, APIs, evaluation, safety and building useful GenAI applications.
Learn to protect systems and data: security fundamentals, networks, web application security, ethical hacking labs, SOC monitoring and incident response.
Understand cloud computing clearly: service models, compute, storage, networking, identity, security, cost awareness and hands-on work across major platforms.
Build connected devices: microcontrollers, sensors, actuators, Arduino and ESP32, MQTT, cloud dashboards, edge AI basics and IoT security.

FAQs
Industrial training is a structured learning program with a mentored project, often linked to academic requirements. Internship programs focus more on working through project tasks in a team style environment. Both build practical experience.
Documentation provided depends on the program and format. Please discuss your college's requirements with the team before enrolling so expectations are clear.
Students from computer science, IT, electronics, electrical, mechanical, civil and other branches can join. The team suggests tracks that suit each branch, such as IoT for electronics or data analytics for many non computer branches.
Yes, where it is feasible within the training period. Mentors help refine the idea so it is practical and demonstrates the skills of your track.
Students join from COER University, Quantum University, Roorkee College of Engineering (RCE), Phonics Group of Institutions, Motherhood University, Gurukula Kangri Vishwavidyalaya, Haridwar University, DIT, Graphic Era, UPES, and regional polytechnic institutions.
Yes. Industrial training includes structured support for university requirements: project synopsis, Software Requirement Specification (SRS), architectural diagrams, source code documentation in Git, final project report, and mock viva defense practice.
