Course Overview
DevOps brings development and operations together so software can be built, tested and released quickly and reliably. It combines culture, practices and automation.

Is DevOps a tool or a role?
DevOps is primarily a way of working. Tools such as Git, Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD systems support it, and many organisations have DevOps or platform engineering roles to lead it.
Should I learn cloud before DevOps?
Linux and Git basics matter most. Cloud knowledge is very useful and is used throughout the course, but it can be learned alongside.
Does DevOps require programming?
You need scripting and the ability to read application code, but not deep software development. Bash and basic Python are the most useful.
